Music Review: Wolf Eyes - Always Wrong (**1/2)



"I think it's fairly safe to assume that at the peak of their exposure, Wolf Eyes experienced a level of profile that no other noise act will likely ever reach again. Even Fuck Buttons, the Bristol-based duo behind last year’s brilliant Street Horrrsing, despite garnering enviable amounts of hype over the last couple of years, have not yet gained prominent national exposure the way Wolf Eyes once had, which resulted in the group appearing in some fairly mainstream publications largely facilitated by their association with Sub Pop records. Of course, at its best, Burned Mind can make Street Horrrsing sound like The Reminder – not a dig on either record mind you – but surprising considering the band’s former reach into some of the more readily available markets."
