Valet - Naked Acid (***1/2)

Sophomore album from psychedelic drone goddess Valet ties together the furthest reaching features of her wide-ranging spectrum of sounds, melding them into a disorienting seven piece song cycle built on glacial guitar effects and electronically manipulated vocals. Despite it's shape shifting stylistic approach, nothing here feels the slightest bit over-extended or self consciously disparate.

Highlights: "Keehar", "Babylon 4 Eva", "Streets"

RIYL: Mouthus, Labradford, Fursaxa, Brian Eno, Charalambides
